Iskra Lawrence…what a Lady.
I guess most of us have seen the brilliant pictures in the past few days of Iskra hitting back at negativity; showing her true grit, determination, ambition and unfaltering tenacity for her beliefs. This got me thinking, many things…amongst them why this attitude is what you need in business.
When I saw her picture, I thought, what a great idea for me as the founder of Scrubbys Vegetable Crisps to do the same, as you can see in the picture above thats what I’ve done!
This in itself took me out of my comfort zone, as a 42 year old mum of 3, well out of it! However on reflection that’s nothing new to what’s happened over the past 4 years inventing, creating and bringing this brand to life.
To say it’s been a rollercoaster doesn’t do justice to the journey at all, it’s been that and then some, which throughout has delivered the highest highs and the lowest of lows, far too many to share in this short snapshot. The wealth of experience and knowledge gained in all aspects of launching a brand and business has nevertheless been immeasurable.
It’s been demanding, and the picture above for me also symbolises the process of launching the brand really has ‘stripped me bare’ it takes everything; physically, emotionally, financially and mentally, I am sure this will resonate with anybody who has done this; particularly women who have the added challenge of raising a family.
My Scrubbys journey has inspired me to work with other established and emerging brands/businesses to help on their journey using my skills, awareness, expertise and contacts collated throughout building Scrubbys, so a I am very pleased to share with you the launch of my next venture; Claire Brumby Business Development.
I hope you have enjoyed this post, and look forward to sharing more on my website in the coming weeks. Claire
